The short answer
Executive accommodation in Monterrey means a furnished, fully equipped home rented by the week or month to someone travelling for work — with the Mexican tax paperwork a company needs to record the expense. It sits between a hotel and a long-term lease, and it is not really either one.
What defines it is not how upscale the property is. It is three practical things: you can live in it from day one without buying anything, the length is flexible, and the payment can be invoiced to a company.
Why foreign teams often search for the wrong thing
Teams arriving from the US or Europe tend to look for a serviced-apartment operator with a corporate portal and a signed master agreement. That model exists in Mexico, but it is thin outside a few towers, and in the Monterrey metro area most real inventory for a project team is privately operated furnished housing.
That is not a downgrade — it usually means better space and a real kitchen for the same money — but it does change what you should ask about. The questions that matter shift from brand standards to capacity, invoicing, and who you will actually deal with during the stay.
Whole house vs a block of hotel rooms
A hotel sells rooms by the night and handles short stays with daily service. Executive accommodation sells the property for a period and handles longer or group stays, where a kitchen, a washer, and shared common space matter more than a front desk.
The gap opens up after the first week. For one night, a hotel almost always wins. For three weeks with four or five people, the comparison changes noticeably — but only if you run it on the full-period total rather than the nightly rate.
Who it fits
Project teams staying several weeks. Contractors and crews working at a plant or on site. Staff arriving on a temporary relocation who need somewhere real to live while they choose a neighbourhood. Groups attending an event who would rather stay together under one roof.
And any company that needs the expense documented with a proper Mexican tax invoice rather than a loose platform receipt.
Who it does not fit
It does not fit a single night, a large group on one rigid morning departure time, or anyone expecting hotel service — a front desk, daily housekeeping, or a restaurant downstairs.
We publish our own constraint openly: the house has 3 bedrooms, 5 beds and room for up to 7 guests, with 1 full bathroom. That single bathroom is the fact that decides whether we suit your team. It works well for a group of four or five with staggered mornings. For seven people who all have to leave at the same hour, hotel rooms are the better answer and we will tell you so.
How to ask for terms
We do not publish rates. Terms depend on your dates and the length of the stay, and a whole-house rate is not comparable to a per-room nightly rate in any case. Send your date range and traveller count and we will send current terms, usually the same day, in English or Spanish.
If a company is paying, say so in the first message and include the tax details, so the invoice is issued to the right entity from the start.
